SPORTS MASSAGE - Enriches conditioning programs,
helps athletes prepare for and recover from competition,
reduces the potential for injuries, and aids in injury
rehabilitation. Ultimately, sports massage enhances
performance.
SWEDISH MASSAGE - The typical relaxation massage using
varying degrees of pressure.
INJURY MASSAGE - Used to decrease pain and scar tissue
in chronic areas, to increase the range of motion and
speed the healing of injuries.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY - This therapy will stimulate/strip/stretch
trigger points - firm, palpable, highly irritable spots
in a taut band of muscle fibers or fascia. They are
characterized by tenderness, referred pain, and decreased
range of motion.
DEEP TISSUE - Based on the Ida Rolf system of Structural
Integration, many postural problems can be improved
or corrected by lengthening the body’s connective
tissues over a period of time.
FACILITATED STRETCHING - Used to
increase flexibility and range of motion. Protagonist
and antagonist muscles are contracted and relaxed in
an alternating pattern.
